Archbold conserves natural and agricultural grasslands through pioneering science and collaborations. In the Everglades Headwaters, we study native prairies and agricultural pastures, and partner to sustain, protect and restore remaining patches of this once-expansive ecosystem. Ranches cover over 3 million acres of Florida. Research at our Buck Island Ranch finds sustainable practices for water, biodiversity, and climate on these working grasslands.
