Torsten Rothman
Torsten Rothman (1937-2011) was a long-term volunteer in Archbold’s Education Department. Furthermore, his chemistry knowledge was essential during his evaluation and disposal of many old chemicals stored in the Chemistry Lab.
"Tor" Rothman served as a volunteer in the Education Department at Archbold Biological Station for over 10 years. Tor became an environmental engineer and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with the US Air Force. He continued to consult after retirement, and stayed active in organizations such as the Military Officers Association of America, and Natural Resource Analysis Center (NRAC). Tor's wife of 48 years, Carolyn, stated how much Tor loved coming to the Station and working with visiting classes from Highlands and surrounding counties.
