Dr. Todd Jones

Todd Jones, Ph.D.

Assistant Research Biologist, Conservation of Military Landscapes

Dr. Jones is a conservation biologist and evolutionary ecologist leading the Conservation Science of Military Landscapes program at Archbold Biological Station, with research focusing on the monitoring, management, and conservation of threatened, endangered, and at-risk bird species across the Avon Park Air Force Range Sentinel Landscape. Prior to joining Archbold in 2024, Dr. Jones completed his B.S. at The Ohio State University, his M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and postdocs at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. Dr. Jones interests include conservation biology as well as avian behavioral and evolutionary ecology, breeding biology, and life history theory, with much of his past work examining the post-fledging ecology of birds.
