Tiffany Doan, Ph.D.

Associate Research Biologist

Tiffany M. Doan is an Associate Research Biologist working at Avon Park Air Force Range to assess the synergistic effects of fire, invasive species, and grazing on the threatened and endangered herpetofauna living in upland habitats. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami and her Ph. D. in Quantitative Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington. She studies conservation biology, ecology, and evolutionary biology of reptiles and amphibians. She is a founding member of the Global Assessment of Reptile Distributions working group. In addition to scientific research, she teaches biology courses at the University of Central Florida. She is also an avid scuba diver and scuba instructor and a practitioner of aikido martial arts.
