Mary Marine, M.S.
Research Assistant IV
Mary is from St. Cloud and has loved central Florida's wildlife for as long as she can remember. She moved to the mountains of North Carolina for undergrad, where she attended Lees-McRae college. While there, she double majored in Psychology and Wildlife Biology with a concentration in Wildlife Rehabilitation, and minored in Art and Design. Mary worked for a season with Florida Grasshopper Sparrows as a technician at Three Lakes WMA and absolutely fell in love with the sparrows. She moved to Kansas to attend Pittsburg State University for a master's in biology, before returning to Florida, where she is back with the sparrows as site leader at Deluca Preserve. When she isn't at DeLuca, you can usually find Mary out birding with her husband, working on creative projects, or curled up with a book and her cat.
