John “Jack” Archbold Hufty is a founding Board member, having served since 1977. His love of the outdoors, the environment, and nature, coupled with an interest in agriculture, cattle, and horses, fuel his enthusiasm for research at both Archbold Biological Station and Buck Island Ranch. Having dialogue with administrators, scientists, students, guests, and Archbold benefactors for the last 45 years as a Board member has provided continued inspiration for Jack.
